There are fences all around us, everybody knows about them and noone is able to live without them.
Late summer 2004 I called my friend and producer Ralf Metzler and I ask him to listen to a couple of songs I had written. I felt like making another album and I wanted to know what he thought about it. So we met and we listend to the songs I had chosen for a new album called "FENCES". Since I myself had not been so sure to put fifteen songs on it, Ralf insisted in taking them all. And so we did! Very personal, critical and angy lyrics and songs came alive by being played and recorded. And I guess we had some of the finest musicians around working on this album. Thanks to all of them!
Edu Weber
Jan. 2005
In 2002 Blues Musician Edu Weber (AUT) released the CD “TUMBLEWEED”, containing eleven of his own songs and being highly appreciated – even in the USA!
Now here's another album by Edu Weber, titled “FENCES”, for which fifteen new songs have been selected.
Its lyrics all have the blues, and musically there's a mix of beautiful ballads, down-to-earth blues and footstomping Rock 'n Roll, featuring a groovy horn section and even a string quartet.
“FENCES” was produced by Ralf Metzler and Edu Weber at CoCo Studios, Oetztal Bahnhof, AUT.
